motherhood is hard.

this past weekend friends from Colorado visited and she suggested that i consider putting bebe in daycare once or twice a week because:

“you are too smart and learning-oriented to be imprisoned all day.”

i’ll admit that this staying-at-home year is eating me alive, and at this point, my mom (with whom i argue often) can’t come here soon enough to help me.

these days especially with coming out of the cold and having a potentially new business direction that threw a kink to the other new business direction that i thought was “it”…

i’ve found myself exhausted and earlier today, simply sitting sprawled on the carpet mindlessly watching bebe crawl around and explore.

hubby took the day off work today; he went to work yesterday and said it was a big mistake as he felt worse for it.

he called his primary care Healthcare Partners HMO doc (whom we’ve never met or seen since we signed up for it last year, by the way), told him about the symptoms, and was given a Rx for amoxicillin over the phone. WTF?! i was miffed.

hubby couldn’t be happier, said that he preferred not to drive and see doc given he’s not feeling well. but i said that it was unethical for any doc who has NEVER seen his or her patient to write a prescription based on telephone consult alone. hubby then got miffed at me because i trash-talked the doctor for prescribing based on phone consult. told him that the doc is going to bill the insurance company for this so-called “consult”, and the doc should have demanded that hubby be seen physically given that they’ve never ever met.

i told hubby that i was going to twitter-smack about this. i’m so not down with it.
