Early in my pregnancy, I had a dream where I met a nice man wearing a hunter-green colored coat named “James Striding”. Mystified, I looked up this person and found that he doesn’t exist, at least on the internet. I decided to purchase the domain name and put it to use for this blog.
This blog is mainly a chronicle of my experiences with pregnancy, like:
- coping with pregnancy symptoms
- how pregnancy influences career and business (ibid)
- life and couplehood during pregnancy (ibid)
- experiences as first time parents
When I first started this blog, I deliberately kept it anonymous so that I can be very honest about my thoughts around the businesses I was running and how this would change when I became a mother. Maybe one day, I’ll reveal my identity on this blog.
In the meantime… I’ll keep coming back here when I feel like I need a safe place to write or vent. Thanks for visiting!

Well, these days I avoid blogging about what’s going on with my child because I actually don’t know what IS going on, at least until we get an official “evaluation report” from the pediatric psychologist.
In the meantime I keep myself busy by piling a ton of things to do on my plate and I have just discovered how much I love to eat Japanese ramen (the miso soup kind).

Well, these days I am blogging bebe’s growth and milestones, but mostly…
I am blogging about
being sleep deprived and
feeling lost as a new parent and
getting frustrated with all the unsolicited advice and
enjoying my baby’s first year and
projecting (my ego) way too often onto bebe and
catching myself when I’m projecting and
figuring out what to do with the rest of my life while being bebe’s mom.

We were married for 9 years before becoming pregnant. We wanted to enjoy our marriage, get our finances and careers in order, and buy a house before jumping into parenthood. In 2007 we started trying. Luckily, we became pregnant very quickly.
I was 35 and my husband was 39 when we became pregnant in 2007.
This will be our first child. We are having a boy and our due date is December 5, 2007 Our baby boy was born on December 2, 2007.
No, we did not name our child, “James Striding”!
